"People complain about the yacht club lease but remember that their members pay a dollar more per year than tourists and locals who park in the 2,000 non-metered spaces in Old Town. Also, the yacht club members pay property taxes and maintain the property they use. It doesn't have to be paved, cleaned, painted and policed by the taxpayer like those 'free' spaces in Old Town."
