Key West city commissioners are poring over a 700-page report from a consulting firm of engineers that outlines how much it will cost to convert a historic, former elementary school to a City Hall.
The highest estimate is about $13 million and does not include elements such as provisions for of ADA compliance, code compliance for life safety, furnishings and décor.
While we all know that The Citizen is in bed with both duh mayor and Virginia Panico, in this case I think the real reason there aren't any comments is that we've all given up.
Duh mayor will get his way. But we will all pay the bill-- a very large bill by the time this new city hall materializes.
