County OKs tax cut
11 new firefighter jobs cut from budget

The Monroe County Commission cut 11 new firefighter positions from its budget on Thursday, as commissioners questioned the need for them and noted it would increase property taxes in Layton and Sugarloaf Key by at least 16 percent.
