An international crew of mariners extends charitable hand

U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Sinclair Harris, commander the U.S. Navy Southern Command, approached a group of dust- and mud-covered sailors in his crisp, starched white uniform Monday morning.

This is the way our harbor should look every day. Forget cruise ships, luxury marinas and old folks homes. These young men are courteous, respectful and fun-loving. Plus they spend a lot more than that trailer trash spilling off Carnival Cruise ships (with apologies to Mr. Rossi, who's on a six-week cruise on city time).

Let's invite the Navy back full-time. We'd love to have them and would love to finally be rid of those cruise ships.
