Judge may recuse self in iPad case

Amount of prison time for Druckemiller sticking point in plea bargain deal

Prosecutors and defense attorneys for a former Monroe County employee accused of stealing 52 iPads and iPhones may be in plea negotiations, but they can't reach an agreement on how much time in prison she should serve.

Everyone in Monroe County was hurt...who benefits from someone stealing? She stole along with all the other employees including Roman Gastesi...he gets a slap on the hand and goes his merry way...what is it going to take for people to wake up and make people responsible for what they do and quit making excuses for wrong doing? It is against the law to steal and against our laws of the land...wake up and smell the coffee...

JUDGE SHOULD SET THE EXAMPLE

On many occasions I have been questioned by Judge Miller as a potential juror and said I knew, had worked with or went to school with the accused or the defendant. Judge Miller has an infamous test on whether the relationship rises to the level of being recused as a juror. "Do you frequently socialize with the person? Do you go to their home for dinner? Do you share confidences with them?" Judge Miler should apply his test to himself. Miller is a highly respected and fair Judge. He should not be intimidated by the Druckmiller/Gartenmeyer political strong arm tactics. He has a job to do and should do it.

"I see her in the hallways, we pass each other in the building." That is the reason for his recusing himself?! No, he does not want to do the unpopular thing. He is more concerned with this radio gig on Sundays on US 1 radio. Judge Mark Jones was involved in the very contentious case with the Acevedos, come on Judge Miller, stand up and do the right thing. Be the Judge, not Mr. Popularity.
