TAVERNIER -- Mariners Hospital has announced that Earl Beaver has joined the hospital as manager of dietary services.

A native of Chicago, Beaver is a Florida-certified food safety restaurant manager. He has completed a dietary management program at the University of Florida and is working on a hospitality management associate of arts degree at the university.

Immediately prior to joining Mariners, Beaver was the food service and catering manager at Mercy Hospital. He started his career in Milwaukee, Wis., with Hilton, moving to Miami where he owned a catering service and managed restaurants in the South Beach area.

Mariners Hospital is part of Baptist Health South Florida, the largest faith-based, not-for-profit healthcare organization in the region.

Business seminar

MARATHON -- IberiaBank is launching a series of seminars aimed at helping new and aspiring entrepreneurs on the basics of organizing and managing a business.

Topics will include money management, organizational business types, banking services and more. The first session is scheduled for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at 12640 Overseas Highway.

Greenman completes European tour

MARATHON -- Transformational Life Coach Judy Greenman, a Marathon resident, recently toured Europe after teaching pain management strategies in Budapest, Hungary and Grenada, Spain.

Techniques used by Greenman re-educate brain-muscle connections through slow, specially-designed motions to create new, healthier patterns of moving, thinking and feeling.

In the past decade, Greenman has coached hundreds of adults, teens and children to reach their personal, professional and physical goals using principals from Integrated Awareness, Cortical Field Re-Education and The Feldenkrais Method.

This marks Greenman's fourth excursion teaching abroad. She hosts regular workshops in South Florida and accepts personal coaching engagements.
