Harold Lloyd Williams was born Feb. 20, 1931 in Key West, Fla. to the late Hilton Williams Sr. and Leona Carey Williams. He attended and received his education at Douglass High School before enlisting in the U.S. Army. Harold joined the Monroe County Sheriff's Office in 1979 and served as a correctional officer. After 10 years of service he retired and relocated to Jacksonville, Fla.

On Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, Harold slept away after an extended illness.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ann Williams and is survived by Cynthia L. Sands (daughter), Stephanie Brimm, VeShera Gilford and Anita Todd (step-daughters); siblings Ellen Valentine, Alfredo Williams and Hilton Williams, Jr.

The family will receive the public from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5 at Sarah L. Carter's Funeral Home, 2212 Emerson St., Jacksonville, FL, 32207.

Home going services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6 at Life Through the Word Ministries Int'l, 4943 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, Fl 32207 with Apostle Robert J. Stanford Sr. officiating.
