B. Druckemiller, 25, in county jail

KEY WEST: Brandon Druckemiller, 25, a son of beleaguered former county IT director Lisa Druckemiller, was arrested early Saturday by the Key West Police Department, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office website.

He is charged with unarmed felony burglary in an unoccupied structure; and felony larceny, grand theft between $5,000 and $10,000, the site says.

This is FACT

you have read it in the paper for over 20 years....This county steals Private property from their owners (and you've heard it from me @ least 15 of those years) Sorry about that!!!! So I’m think” you folks that have voted for all those crooks that supported those sort of things are just as guilty as Druckemiller and her son. It's really the same crime..Think about it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What I want to know....

I would like to know how he got released from jail on a Sunday WITHOUT having to post any bail. What gives? Anyone else would have $5K bail just for one Class E Felony. This county is so crooked, where does it stop?

Wow the City of Key West is doing the right thing

I never thought I would see the day that the Key West city government did the right thing. And sadly our county government chose to bury their heads in the sand and repeat "this isn't happening".

Kudos to the City Manager of Key West. You have renewed my faith. And Darts to my county commissioners. I hope and pray you come to your senses and fire Gastesi. Prove to us you are not whores to the dollars that he promises to bring from the overloards in Tallahassee. So until then, each of you will wear the Scarlett letter A upon your chests. For those of you who are either too young or those educated in Monroe County, Google Scarlett Letter to understand the reference I made.

A finally to Dennis Ward, Reward the faith I placed in you this last election day. You can and should apply for a warrant to arrest Roman Gastesi. The applicable phrase I believe is "knew or should have known that the property was stolen". Clearly he knew or should have known.

Thank you. I will take my soap box and head on home now.

Always room for one more

Always room for one more letter in his file.

Awww! Isn't that sweet! Another government employee

that keeps it in the family.

Crooks, all of them. Very Acevedo of them.

The apple does not fall far

The apple does not fall far from the tree.

This is political....

No it's not. It's sad.

A mother with a problem supported by her co-workers (buying the devices), using her position (County Director) to influence and enable her child to continue thinking "doing bad is ok, mommy knows the judge."

Nepotism and pandering influence for personal gain is something that hurts everyone. You have just finally been exposed. Had you any real intelligence, you would have learned from Monique - no one who you pandered to will continue to support you and in your final hour you will stand alone.

Well, almost, now that your influence is done, so is the protection of your son.

Is this REALLY any way to create a community? Selfishly looking out only for own personal gain? This is One Human Family?

Runs in the family

I guess just like blond hair or blue eyes, being a crook must run in the family. Great job Lisa! Momma set a good example and the kids are learning fast! Oh, don't worry about real trouble like jail, Vogel will be in soon enough and she can sweep this all under the rug.

Indeed. Vogel is a big problem as is her ex-boss.

If you'll note, the yards with signs for Vogel also have signs for Mira-Talbot. That tells you the people in those houses support crooks.

I am sick at my stomach to say this, but I'll vote for Griffiths before I'll vote for Mira-Talbot. Also, her signs were right next to those of McPherson's. It says a lot about the candidate and the people who vote for them.

ARREST GASTESI

He is just as GUILTY

But---

He's a good boy. He wouldn't steal or burglarize another person's property and If he is a thief or druggy it can't be his fault. Society must be held accountable for his actions. KW, except for the bubba crowd, is going to regret voting S/A Ward out of office.

It would appear.....

the apple in this case doesn't fall far from the tree.

And the County Manager still works!

The County Manager is not that stupid to have not realized the stuff was not hot, yet the Commissioners have allowed him to stay even after the Grand Jury said he needs to go, next time he will cost us more. This Commission stinks to the high heavens allowing some of the crap to go on, suing the x animal shelter provider, little control over spending to name a few. We need to vote this bunch out.

Like Mother, Like Son.

Okay, it might be a cheap shoot, but come on, like you didn't think that? Seriously though, it tells us alot about the ethics and morals of that family in general. Guy must have made pretty decent money as a plumber at the public trough. What is wrong with people who already got a sweet deal in life?
