Born in Key West, Fla., on Aug. 6, 1940, Martha A. Harness passed away in Largo Medical Center, Clearwater, Fla., on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.

Martha was born to Louis and Bertha Arnold and grew up in Key West.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Bertha Arnold, sister Katy Arnold, brothers Lonnie Arnold, Wesley Arnold, and daughter Deborah "Debbie" Hawks.

Martha is survived by her children, Nancy Hawks, Brenda Hawks, Wade Hawks and Carmen Borrego (Hawks); sisters Sarah Julien, Barbara Towns; brother Louis Arnold; grandchildren, Deanna Martinez, Benjamin Morales, Christina Morales, Angela Morales, Pedro Borrego, Tony Hawks and Wade Hawks; great-grandchildren, Jessica Martinez, Benjamin Michael Morales, Dylan Martinez; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held for Martha at a later date. Martha was a wonderful, caring, awesome mother; she loved her children and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was funny, witty and had a great sense of humor, not to mention a heart of gold.

She would do anything for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and will forever have a place in our hearts.
