School Board focus is on lawyers

Labor attorney contract and litigation scorecard on today's agenda

Since 1997, the Monroe County School Board's attorneys have struck settlements of more than $1 million to end 59 lawsuits, but they have also recovered $1.83 million for the district, according to a brief report submitted by lawyer Dirk Smits.

Oh Andy, all the "best legal" help can't protect us taxpayers..

from the financial blunders made by the in-house financial staff with oversight by the mighty school board pseudo-CPA'sand "experienced businessmen (Pribramsky, Dick and and Gentile). Additionally, Norton is a bully and very anti-teacher. The fact that Andy and John Dick are so much in favor of keeping him, speaks volumes about how much they care about teachers and staff. Norton is unacceptable to the citizens of Monroe, which is why we WILL RALLY to do something about it: remove Board Members that condone such poor regard for the teaching profession. Nothing like going to the mainland and bringing home a high-paid bully to remind us all WHO has empowered this Board.

Thanks for the comment Andy. Of course, mr griffiths was chairman during the Acevedo scandal. It was Andy who approved all of Monique's purchases. It was Andy who stonewalled the investigation. It was Andy who recommended house arrest for Monique after she was caught. Amazing how Andy runs on experience, but hides his record while slinging mud at his opponents high school daughter and daughter's friends. Not exactly who you want looking out for children.

Hurrary for the school board voting to remove teachers who use offensive and sexual language to get a laugh from the boys. A true professional doesn't stoop to that level.
