Schools' labor lawyer keeps job

In a 3-1 vote Tuesday, the School Board agreed with Superintendent Mark Porter to continue paying an expert labor attorney to fend off complaints from the teachers union of unfair labor practices.

IT IS TIME FOR ANDY TO GO TO PASTURE

Whether you personally like Andy or not, it is clear that his time to leave the School Board has come. He has become an ineffective member who just rambles on and on with jibberous based on what he thinks people want to hear. In social settings he openly says he "deserves" to be relected because he has been on the Board for so many (20) years, I've never responded but it upsets me everytime he says it because NO ONE, my friend, deserves to be reelected just because they've been there so long. It's time for Andy to be replaced so that the School Board can try to move forward and put a stop to all of these ancient practices which he so strongly supports.

Unfortunately his opponent is a part of the Acevedo, McPherson bubba clan who believes she is entitled to the position because of where she was born, with no other qualifications. As much as I think We need a change here, Andy is the lesser of 2 evils.

Andy's Mudslinging

This Talbott - Acevedo Connection is a concoction from Andy. True, the daughters grew up together and were friends, but remember, it was FireAndy who approved all the Acevedo purchases. It was FireAndy who stonewalled the Acevedo investigation. It was FireAndy who recommended House Arrest for Monique. It still is FireAndy who STILL carries a district credit card (when was the last time the SB was buying school supplies?) It was FireAndy who spent taxpayer money to recruit Joe Carpetbagger Burke. It was FireAndy who backed all of Jara's fraudulent decisions. If you think the School District has been responsible, and you want a career politician puppet, VoteAndy. His mudslinging at his opponent's daughter is shameful.

Acevedo years were best!

Say what you will about the "Acevedo Clan" , but frankly, the school district was in MUCH better shape when Randy was superintendent! Teachers had what they needed for their classrooms, we were still getting cost of living and step raises, and most of all, he knew everyone and we felt appreciated! Not to mention that all schools were performing at an all time high with the lowest drop- out rate ever!! My vote will be for Talbott. She knows what's going on from a parental end and she has done her research to be an excellent board member with no agenda but to help kids.
