Teary-eyed guy tries to get free taxi ride

KEY WEST -- A teary-eyed cab customer accused of throwing a bottle of water at a driver was arrested early Friday, according to a police incident report.

The 34-year-old Kentucky man was charged with misdemeanor battery.

The incident began at 1:10 a.m., when police were called to the 500 block of Truman Avenue. There they found the tourist intoxicated...
