City will sell land under Pier House spa for $7.5 million

A 14-acre park friendly to Frisbee-tossers, boaters, music lovers and strollers moved closer to reality Tuesday night when Key West commissioners okayed a preliminary plan for use of its Truman Waterfront property.

So the city has sold the Carribean Spa for $7.5 million... that's almost enough to cover the amount we lost defending the Conch Train monopoly.
