John Pantesco

John Pantesco was born in Manhattan, N.Y. on June 25, 1927 and went home to be with the Lord on Oct. 14, 2012.

Affectionately known as J.P., he served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was loved and revered by family, friends and co-workers.

A member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church in Summerland Key Fla., J.P. was a great man of God, an awesome dad, great fisherman, storyteller and a cheerful giver.

He was also dearly loved and survived by his sister, Dorothy McKeon, daughters Debbie McCue, Denise Lapp, DeeDee Ellul and his son John Pantesco III.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at Calvary Chapel, 2401 W. Cypress Creek Road, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33309.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Chapel in referenfce to "Benevolence" in memory of John Pantesco.
