The Funny Thing About Bank Robbery

Bank robbery can be charged as a state crime or federal crime. The funny thing is that the feds get jurisidction because of FDIC, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation which insures your deposits against the bank going under. FDIC does NOT cover loses from bank robbery, embezzlement and crimes that like. That is covered by private commercial insurance. Bank robbery is basicly covered by insurance which is why they give up the money so easy. Armed guards, especially here, are a waste of money and a big increased insurance liability.

Lordy

Your assets are covered. Period.

Bank Robbers

At first I thought that someone was finally being prosecuted from the finanacial mess caused by Bank of America and their mortgage robbing schemes. But I guess Bob Dylan was right, "STEAL A LITTLE AND THEY THROW YOU IN JAIL, STEAL A LOT AND THEY MAKE YOU KING."

guards

Only in KW would a bank not haved arm guards, or the guards are so old they cant see or catch you. Man, you robbed a bank, hide in the mangroves or the homeless shelter for a few days, all will be forgotten about in a few days, fool

Don

Should rename this bar THE DON ,s place!

Don's place? Tell me it ain't so!

It's a dirtbaggy place that draws dirtbaggy people.

Don's needs to change their advertising for accuracy.

The website for Don's place calls it the 'first and last bar off of Duval Street. I vote that it be changed to "The first and last bar for the criminal crowd". How many crimes have started there and how many have ended there? And who wants to hang out at a smokey hole with 24/7 drunks and criminals?

What a moron...

What a moron; Guess he needed the money to go to the watering hole. No matter if he took the money and run, he wouldn't get far.

"Don's place"

Is it me....or is "Don's Place" involved indirectly in quite a few of these issues lately? Hmmmmm. What's the attraction.....with "Don's Place" ?

Don's Place is seedy with

Don's Place is seedy with shifty characters in a ramshackle-grungy-clapboard pit. He thought in a place like this, the cops wont be looking here.., wrong. The motto is "Look in the unexpected places"

If Only

If only they closed the bars at noon this guy would not have been tempted to steal beer money!!!!

Escape by hiding in plain site?

Seems to have worked for a guy who raped his daughters who lived here with a boyfriend for a year or so. There was the former manager of the Scrub Club who got fired and robbed Key West Bank, then was busted doing crack in a house in Old Town. We seem to get some real winners. Looks like this guy really wanted to go back to prison.

Only in Key West

Would a bank robber stop at a bar instead of heading out of town. Idiot.

Criminals - ALL CRIMINALS - are stupid.

This one is from Cullman, Alabama and that makes him even MORE stupid.

Only in Key West...

Bank Robbers get away (at least for a few hours) via bicycle.

What If ???...............

Stock Island boy just missed thwarting him at the Bank of America by 12 minutes. Then this idiot gets arrested at Don's place (3 blocks from Stock Island Boy's Lair???) Coincidence??????? Things that make you go ....mmmmmmmmmmm!
