The mahi mahi are back. All-in-all, this has been a strange year for mahi mahi. First, we had periods of big, really big, mahi caught in water from 200 feet deep to the abysmal depths of areas beyond "the Walls" in water more than 1,000 feet deep. Then, there were so many schoolie mahi on the reefs, and even inside the reefs, that yellowtail fisherpersons couldn't get a bait past them.
