Little school that could goes high-tech
5-year-old charter academy uses Web to teach math, more

Tom Junker, who teaches sixth- and seventh-grade math and science at the only public school on Big Pine Key, painted his own classroom an odd shade of brown before students arrived a year ago.

Like any small school -- Big Pine Academy has 190 students in pre-K through seventh grade -- teachers pitch in with things like painting.
