Who paid for this PR piece? It has a Conch Color spin to it. The article was probably commissioned because a contract and/or job evaluation is imminent. Maybe it's purpose is to curry favor with the new city manager. No one knows.

He got an escorted view of FFest

is it news? Not really, but recently most the paper has been a lot of fluff. Maybe if they included all the story instead of just part, people would read more. Like the cost of the Drone the Marine sanctuary bought, $400,000 almost half a million for a military surveliance AUV but they can't get a ladder for Sand Key lighthouse so they can replace a battery on the solar panel. It would seem our Sanctuary has it's priorites skewed.
