Marathon splits preseason games

MARATHON -- Marathon High split its two preseason girls basketball games last weekend at Marathon.

Led by 9 points each from Jessica Forest and Yailin Nieda, the Lady Dolphins trimmed Coral Shores, 34-24, breaking away from a 15-8 lead at halftime. Gardine Raymond and Joshisha Qualls each scored 6 for the Dolphins, while Amanda Davis contributed 4.
