The 3 years of Chinese inflated prices have artifically driven prices up and now the bubble burst when the Chinese this year suddenly stopped buying. Many boats invested in large live wells and took on additional debt. This year , the Chinese didn't buy, the crawfish didn't come and prices fell to half. Our Goverment , through privatizing our fisheries are creating lopsided monoplies, putting your small operators out of business. Small operators provide quality seafood and keep prices in check. Once the big operators control the majority of the quota , they will manipulate the prices and only the rich will eat seafood.
