Safe Harbor's land-use may change
Step toward redevelopment OK'd, with working waterfront caveats

Monroe County took another step Wednesday toward redeveloping Safe Harbor on Stock Island.

The Monroe County Planning Commission approved land-use changes on 18 pieces of property along Safe Harbor, which could allow a hotel to be placed there.

I am in complete agreement with this plan, as long as the anchor is removed from the Monroe County seal and replaced with a hotel.
