Corrections officer awarded top honor for going 'above and beyond'

Garrett Test was nodding off as his girlfriend drove them through Colorado's Rocky Mountains last month on vacation.

"We were on our way to Estes Park," said Test, a Monroe County detention officer and Marathon native. "Just outside of Loveland, my girlfriend woke me up to see the hills."
