Could it be that our Governor will do something right and recommend this bloated bureaucracy be folded into our County Government? Imagine the savings! No board to pay (including health care most residents can't even dream of), no HR, Finance, or other support functions. No new buildings while County space sits empty. Only a Department responsible for killing Mosquitos. What a concept. Tell me, Mr Shaw, how is a special district, loaded with duplicated functions, more efficient? Are all the functions County Government provides "afterthoughts"? Look at your property tax bill and see how "efficient" this district is.
