This story is very sad. Cases like this occur, unfortunately, all over the world....not just here. BUT.....this poor man.....DEFINITELY IS NOT the "average" homeless person.....here in Key West. What someone should do....is organize a tour for the public beginning underneath the Cow Key Channel bridge, and then doing interviews over at the Flagler Ave. soup kitchen. Unfortunately.....(and THIS is the real issue).....the MAJORITY of homeless here.....a) want NO help. b) Won't ACCEPT any help. c) Are drunks or dopers.....by choice. d) And may of them.....can be violent. It's time to get realistic and the "non" profits need to face the reality of this growing mess. IF they aren't willing to get help.....and if they aren't willing to WORK.....on a daily basis for the City maintaining infrastructure......then they're bums. Pretty simple.
