6-11 eighth grader takes measure of Marathon

Marathon High's boys basketball team traveled to Miami for its season opener on Monday and had a rude awakening.

"They had an eighth grader who 6-11," said Dolphins coach Kevin Freeman. "They didn't have him last year. Consequently, they dominated the boards. They owned us on the boards. That was pretty much it right there."
