Changes coming with new clerk
Institutional knowledge leaves with employees

An exodus has begun at the Monroe County Clerk's Office following the election of Amy Heavilin, including the firing of a 21-year top-level administrator.

About a half-dozen top executives, including the chief internal auditor, have submitted resignation or retirement letters following Heavilin's election, and those positions will have to be filled in the coming months. Some...
