Craigie S. Succop

Craigie S. Succop, of Key West, Fla., and St. Michaels, Md., died peacefully at her St. Michaels home on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012. She was 70.

Born in Butler, Penn. on July 8, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Craig and Margaret Succop. Craigie was an accomplished artist, she maintained studios in both Key West and St. Michaels; where she developed a singular form of glass mosaic. Craigie's work is held in both public and private collections and published in several books, journals, and magazines. She was active in the artist community of both Key West and St. Michaels, She was a graduate of Chatham College and a founding member of SAMA (Society of American Mosaic Artist). She was the owner of Turtle Cove Studios in St. Michaels.

Craigie is survived by her partner; Susan Wasilewski, a son: T. Tobin Bryant of Chino Hills, Calif., one sister; Anne Covert, of Brookline, Mass., one brother; Thomas C. Succop, of Pittsburgh, Penn., three grandsons; Craig, Cabot and Cole, and one great- granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Craigie's memory can be made to the Talbot Hospice Foundation 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD, 21601.
