Two weeks ago today, on Monday, Nov. 26, not a single person was reported shot, stabbed or murdered in New York City.

That's the first time police officials can remember recording no such crimes over a 24-hour period. Said NYPD historian Tom Repetto, "It likely didn't happen in 1990, when the city logged a record 2,245 murders."
