'Pop-up' road project

KEY WEST: A "pop-up" roadwork project begins this morning at Mile Marker 10.2, the Florida Department of Transportation says. Drivers who use Ed Swift Road will be directed through the Pike Plaza parking lot. The work will run from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Dec. 18.

Night work will resume at the Navy's Sigsbee Park entrance on Kennedy Drive and North Roosevelt Boulevard from Dec. 17 to 19. It will not be closed, but access will be shifted, FDOT says.

New night work is scheduled for 11 p.m. Dec. 19 on North Roosevelt Boulevard's driving lanes in front of Searstown, between 14th Street and Toppino Drive. North Roosevelt traffic will be routed to Toppino and Northside drives.
