School officials, law enforcement have program in place for campus violence

The irony is chilling.

Mere days before last week's school massacre in Sandy Hook, Conn., representatives of the Monroe County School District and the Monroe County Sheriff's Office met and agreed to a plan for school security that is now coming into effect.

Federal Agencies that he was about to shoot up a building in Key West and it's occupants. $75,000 bail (which is what? $7,500 in collateral?) and the nutcase is free on the steets.

Sheriff Peryam, Sheriff-Elect Ramsay & Superintendent Porter are spectacular leaders who are actually focusing in on the safety and well-being of our Children. They initiated their comprehensive and coordinated plan prior to the Sandy Hook tragedy. Their commitment to protect, serve and educate is a clear and present reality. Their efficient dedication to duty is well received and deeply appreciated. God bless them and the courageous men and women serving in the Sheriff's Dept. and School District. Let's keep moving our kids forward, as they intellectually advance themselves. We want our students to rank #1 in the world... Nothing less...Thank you for the hard work put forth on their behalf...
