


Mr. Herman Otto Mullikin, 87, passed away in Ocala, Fla., on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012. He was born in Edinburgh, Ind., on Feb. 12, 1925. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps first, then of the Air Force. He served in WWII and was a B-17 gunner; he received an air medal for the European Theater. He was a retired owner of a trucking company and later had businesses in real estate and investments. Herman moved to this area in 1996 from Key West, Fla. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1949 from Franklin College in Indiana. Herman was the youngest and the last of 11 children. He was married to Joanne Mullikin for 38 years; she passed away in 1986. Herman is survived by two daughters: Susan Linhart and husband, Jon Mofield, of Ocala, and Amy Dile of Lebanon, Ind.; and one son, Stephen Mullikin of Bloomfield, Ind.; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
