Soldier arrested for firing gun
Claims it was to scare off intruder near his Old Town home

A U.S. Army staff sergeant stationed in Key West spent the night in jail after police said he drunkenly fired a handgun on the sidewalk outside his Eaton Street home Sunday morning.

Kyle Taylor, who turned 29 on Monday, was charged with discharging a firearm in public, use of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol and improper exhibit of a firearm -- all misdemeanors...
