MADELYN LORRAINE (CLEMENS) BALAJADIA

Lorraine passed away on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at the age of 85 in Junction City, Kan., after an extended illness. She was born July 15, 1927, in West Virginia to Jessie Mae Sims Clemens and Goly E. Clemens. She is survived by three children, Phyllis Parks Sweeting (David) of Key West, Ronald Parks (Sharon) of Huntsville, Ala., and Maureen Parks Busicnki of Junction City; six grandchildren, David and Danny Sweeting, Susan Parks Ang, Alicia Busicnki Peterson (Seth), Bryan Busicnki (Keri) and Christen Busicnki Double (Steven); 12 great-grandchildren, Rachel Sweeting Ortueta, Natalie Sweeting, John Sweeting, Ethan and Elizabeth Ang, Avery Peterson, Meridith and Jacob Jolly, Mia and Blake Double, Spence Busicnki and Peyton Forbes; three great-great-grandchildren, Daniella, Kaylee and Ryan Ortueta. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose; both parents; and brother and sister. Lorraine moved to Key West in 1959. She worked many years at Howard Johnson's, where she met her second husband, Jose. She then worked a long time at Black Angus before going to Captain Bob's. She worked there until they closed. She then worked at Pizza Hut and retired from there. With her retirement and the loss of Jose, she decided to move to Junction City to be near her youngest daughter. Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. It was her wish that her ashes, along with Jose's, be taken to Dallas Cemetery in West Virginia and buried near her parents. This will be done at a later date.
