Worker steals jewelry while working on AC

STOCK ISLAND -- A Stock Island man was arrested Tuesday after stealing $7,200 in gold items from a Duval Street jewelry store while working there with an air-conditioning repair crew, according to a police incident report.

Fernando Lopez, 30, was charged with felony grand theft.
