Man out on bail charged in holdups

Key West police on Thursday arrested a former city employee implicated -- but not charged -- in Monroe County's iPad scandal in connection with two armed robberies over the past two days.

Brandon Druckemiller, 26, was arrested before noon and admitted to using an Airsoft BB gun resembling a semi-automatic handgun to rob a cab driver and a local motel clerk, according to p...

HA!

A city department like community services, where the director served in prison for coke trafficking. 323

He's just a BUBBA with a drug prob! lol

Come on Monroe County taxpayers he's just a BUBBA with a drug problem, don't you all know that most of the government workers in the Keys have a coke problem? This is perfectly normal in Key West! I lived there for many years and even know people that work in the police dept that use drugs and actually have involvment in drug trafficking! I honestly have never met such a bunch of ignorant, low-lifes in my life until I was introduced to alot of BUBBAS in KW! WOW!

Probation

He is very lucky Vogel won. Wink wink...

Family Tree

Tree, apple, falling, not far.....You can't make this crap up!

What a shame.

Isn't it a shame.....that neither the cab driver....or the Motel clerk.....didn't have a 44 magnum......that resembled an '"airsoft pellet gun" at the time? Things might have turned out......a little differently. That does it. We need to ban Airsoft pellet guns right along with assault rifles. Cap pistols too. (They....might harm someone....they're so loud!)

Very Lucky

The motel clerk is a former police officer and the only reason he didn't have his gun under the desk is because the safe jammed and would not open that night.

No no no

If they take our cap pistols its only a short hop to grabbing our water pistols and caulking guns!!!!!!

Model Citizen

He has higher aspirations as he is just building up his resume for a run at an elected position in Keys government.

Seems he is not adjusting well........

To the loss of his civil service job. What are the chances of him getting his position back?

Chances are excellent...

Check back in a month or two, he might be heading a department.

You can't fix STUPID

Moron doesn't know when to quit while he's 'ahead'. Mom still going around acting like she's the victim in all the scandal. SMH.

He wanted to do serious time apparently.

First he rips off his own relatives. Must have been taught well by his scamming thief of a mother. Apparently burglary didn't carry enough time, so he thought he'd add in a couple of armed robberies to up the ante. Who was stupid enough to bail him out in the first place? This is one clown who better not get some sweet plea deal. I don't care how much money his defense attorney contributed to Vogel's campaign. Vogel show some backbone. (Vogel's campaign was heavily financed by the defense bar.)

What a family!

Model citizens, the whole bunch of um.

He should sue!

In this city larceny isn't grounds for firing, it is grounds for promotion. If the city hadn't fired him he wouldn't have needed to rob. He should sue the city for millions! It's our fault we didn't provide him with all the money he deserves.

He really is a nice guy,

He really is a nice guy, though.
