Modern-day wrecking family featured in reality TV show

By his own admission, Ricky Arnold is a barnacle; a piece of The Rock.

The owner of Stock Island-based Arnold's Towing and his two sons are set to become the newest wave of reality TV stars tonight when "Shipwreck Men" premiers on the Discovery Channel cable network.

It's the latest in a series of blue-collar, elbow-grease inspired shows that have prove...

I hope they expose them for the crooks that they are.

I hope they expose them for the crooks that they are. Every day they screw innocent accident victims by towing vehicles that often can be driven. Then they damage in the tow. Then they charge a huge rate for 'storage' yet they don't bother to notify the owner (often hospitalized) until 7 days AFTER the two. And of course, since their notification comes from Arkansas, it takes days to arrive. It's a scam and the city is complicit. I hope they're exposed for the scammers that they are.

Wow!

Someone really pulled the wool over these producers' eyes. The Arnolds involved in any sort of search and rescue is a freakn' joke. 20 years working on the water in the Keys and never have I seen them rush to a emergency. All the show could come up with was them pulling up a junk boat that has been sitting there, rotting for years. Yea, great TV (that's sarcasm).

If you don't have anything nice to say...

Not that I am a fan of the Arnold family or business, HOWEVER, they have come to the scene of many car accidents where a vehicle has gone into the water and pulled them out. They are the only ones in the Keys with equipment to do this. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. And for pete's sake, it was only the first episode; give it some time. If you don't like the show, DON'T WATCH IT!! That's what they make a remote control for!

Uh...

The show isn't about tow trucks and car accidents. Try to focus here.

More like the Key West

More like the Key West hillbilly. That show is a total joke. ...An Arnold representing Key West? I wish they would have picked a better family. Ain't no Elly May in that family, just Jethro, Jed X 2 and of course Granny Moses.

hilbilly

first of all conchs are'nt hill billies(unless you live atop solares hill!) that said, it was nice to see another childhood friend is still getting under the skin of a few yankie-come-latelies. if rickie or his sons came to your aid i doubt you'd call him anything but sir! enough conch hating already! remember,if it were not for our ancestors there would not have been the "quaint little town" that attracted all of you in the fitst place. be happy we were WILLING to accept ALL types! CADE

They made Rossi an offer he couldn't refuse...

Mark Rossi has a cameo as Marlin Braindead.

Scary

Here comes Bubba Boo Boo! LOL.

Really?

We live in a society that has lowered the bar when it comes to entertainment and talent. We need more Leave It To Beaver and Less Jersey Shore.

Key West Gerald

Watch for Key West Gerald the amazing surfing dog on this episode.
