Chamber warns scam back

The Key West Chamber of Commerce is warning businesses and residents that a scam using the Florida Business Corporations Act as a front has returned.

The scammers ask businesses to fill out corporate minutes and send them in with a check for $125, according to a chamber email.

This is the same scam that surfaced last year. The chamber has copy of the letter, and if any businesses receive a similar letter, they are urged to contact the chamber.

The scam asks businesses to send the check to a fake government entity in Tallahassee called the "Corporate Records Service."
