Service at school for teen

Key West High School students will hold a candlelight memorial service at 7 p.m. in the campus courtyard to honor the 14-year-old freshman boy who died Sunday from a suicidal gunshot to the head.

Very Sad

I feel horrible for what happen to this young man and cant even imagine what his family is going through. I truly do not understand How could people accuse the principal of what happen to this young man? No offense to anyone.. but I have a child who was bullied in middle school, and 1. the signs are at home 2. at the KWHS with the amount of kids there unless it was brought to the attention of the administration it is impossible to know each and every child and there emotions and what each child is going through. 3. Even if it happens in the classroom and the teacher does not report it how is anyone to know? this is sad and it does not make it right AT ALL, but it is the reality. Its so disheartening to see there is an article about this young man and that the family then will have to read the mean hateful things people are posting. Everyone should leave there hating and personal agendas at moments like this and focus on what this article and the others about this young man is for. People like YOU are why things like these happen. No one but the family know all the facts and they are the only ones that need to follow through with what they know and to get to the bottom of what and why this happen. Maybe there is someone to blame and maybe not but No one needs to be judging others nor make accusations without knowing the facts. My thoughts and prayers are with this family and with the students, staff and administration who lost someone way to young.

If you are going to be a Princess, you need to learn the difference between there, their, and they're. Bosco attended Rigor, Revelance, and RELATIONSHIP seminars and preached them as a principal. And she did, to her credit, develop relationships with SOME students, she just forgot that she was supposed to reach out to all students not just concentrate on her favorites.

Need to look into this. I heard from my child, who attends KWHS that bullying was involved. We need answers from the administration at KWHS. This was totally, completely preventable and terrible for the entire community.

My condolences goes out to the family of this young soul. We need to raise awareness on suicide/depression and recognize the body language, subtle signs (no matter how minute). This Teen probably was silently crying out for help and it was ignored. Can we set aside suicide/depression awareness month; we have one for breast cancer, prostate cancer.

The kid had been bullied by the same group of kids from HOB to KWHS. Ms. Bosco is merely trying to hide the issue.

What building or street is named after any member of your family? Everyone just continues to pick on her. She has moved in with Mr. Acevedo to help him keep his house and most of you would just leave your friend in the dust. She puts her family first and everyone is mad even though they would do the same thing, so stop crying.

If she put her family first, she would have stayed living with her two daughters which is none of anyone's business but you brought it up. She is dating and living in a house upgraded with school district money and with a married man who also happens to be convicted of committing crimes against the very school district for which she works so I question her morals and ethics. As a school administrator, she needs to set a GOOD example for the young adults she teaches.

Who cares what streets are named after your family or what they did. Life is about what YOU do today, not dwelling on the past. In this great country, your family history does not mean a thing. What matters is what you contribute. Finally the issue here is if Amber knew about bullying and covered it up to protect other self entitled conch kids, thereby contributing to this tragic death. My belief is she knew what was going on and did not do a thing. Shame on you Amber!

Ok let's not get the facts twisted. The streets & building(s) named after that family were earned by those members of that family who actually contributed something to this community. Amber, on the other hand, merely managed to get her degree and piggy back on her family name. Listen, just because she got her degree in whatever she has it in, doesn't mean she did well in school. It merely means she passed; and you can pass with C's & D's. Apparently she is missing that "leadership quality" gene. This has NOTHING to do with her family, however. It has to do with her not addressing serious issues and doing her job. Ha, I wonder what else is she "helping" Randy with?

A number of streets are named after my family: Watson Street, Carey Lane, and more. I'm also related to the Kemps, the Currys, the Pinders, the Alburys, etc. Good enough for you? Does an ancestor Ms. Bosco's have his Civil War diary on display at Chickamauga National Battlefield? And from what I've been told, she is more than just a roommate of Mr. Acevedo and I heard that from a Bubba. Her personal behavior aside, she's a terrible leader and needs to go.

This is not something new for Amber. When she was at Poinciana, she constantly turned a blind eye to bullying and I have this from a very reliable source. It's typical for her though. Look at how she has handled all of the other situations at KWHS. She has absolutely NO idea how to be an administrator, leader, or a good role model. Hopefully, this time, she won't escape what is due to her. She needs TO GO!
