Supreme Court reverses judge's decision
For Monroe County, it means $1.8 million more for budget, for 600,000 others, it's a loss

Florida Keys governments and other state agencies will not have to refund millions of dollars collected from employees' paychecks to help pay for their pension benefits.

The Florida Supreme Court on Thursday upheld a 2½-year-old law requiring public employees to contribute 3 percent of their pay to the state's pension plan.

Nobody has had a raise since 2007

And, in fact, many have lost their jobs, taken pay cuts, lost homes, lost pensions, lost savings, lost retirement accounts...

A little common sense prevails

State Employees...

...have NOT had a raise since 2007

Neither have most private

Neither have most private sector employees. My guess is your pay and current benefits are FAR better then a similar position in the private industry. If you want a raise, go start a business and give yourself one. If you are being supported by my State Taxes, be glad you have not had pay cuts! If you don't like it, leave. There will be a line a mile long for your current position.
