Interceptors are cool, but are they practical?

The city of Key West recently approved the purchase of 22 new Ford Police Interceptor patrol cars.

This purchase is not at all out of the ordinary for the city, as police cars outlive their usefulness in seven or eight years and must be replaced. The city deserves accolades for keeping costs down by piggybacking their purchase onto a much larger order by the city of Jack...
