Second Amendment must be repealed

I have personally advocated the repeal of the Second Amendment, penning more than just a few letters to the editor since Newtown. Many friends have urged me to pull back and accept some sort of accommodation permitting the Second Amendment to stand, but with tight restrictions and controls, especially where assault-type weapons are involved...
