Pedestrian, bike road update

The designated pedestrian and bicycle path on North Roosevelt Boulevard will be finished along the road's length within a week, according to Florida Department of Transportation spokesman Dean Walters.

The path is set between active traffic lanes and the construction zone. Green protective cloth has been placed over its chain-link fence to prevent bike handlebars from getting snagged as well as to minimize dust and debris on the path, Walters said in a press release.

The cloth does not cover business entrances, and it's been lowered in their vicinity to provide a clear view of oncoming traffic, he said. For information, contact Walters at 305-849-1474 or dean@swcinc.net.
