VNA/Hospice promotes Wheeler

Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice recently promoted Greg Wheeler to vice president and chief financial officer.

Wheeler joined the agency as CFO in 2004 and has helped transform VNA/Hospice into the preeminent home health and hospice care agency in Monroe County, states a company press release.

"It has been an honor working alongside Greg for the past few years," said Jody Gross, president & CEO, "I am confident that in his new leadership role he will continue to play a vital role as we continue our mission of delivering high standards of care to people at home."

Prior to VNA/Hospice, Wheeler was the director of operations at St. John Health Foundation, a division of a large, multi-hospital health care system in Southeast Michigan.

Urbanik honored for sales

The Galleon Resort & Marina on Front Street in Key West recently named Elsie Faraldo Urbanik as the 2012 sales person of the year. Urbanik celebrated 25 years with the Galleon last July. She is a third-generation Conch who has lived in Key West all her life, according to a press release from The Galleon.

Gerez wins credit union drawing

Keys Federal Credit Union recently announced that Patsy Veldez Gerez of Key West won $500 in Publix gift cards. Gerez has been a dedicated Keys Federal Credit Union member for more than 21 years and is the grand prize winner of its 2012 Membership is REWARDING program.
