Garden Club drama, of the good variety

There was drama at the Dayle Westover lecture at the Key West Garden Club, shocked "ahhhs" arose as 80 Garden Club members watched Westover boldly rip the bottom half of the roots off of a flowering pink penta and massage them before stuffing the flower into a basket of greens.

"No problem," she advised. "It will do just fine." Evidently roots love massages as much as garde...
