A woman charged in a scheme to fraudulently obtain nearly $1 million in mortgages on seven properties in the Florida Keys agreed to jail time followed by a decade of probation Thursday as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors.

Justice?

I don't know all the details, but it looks like 2 people committed a crime, yet one will have a lesser charge and not be treated as a felon and do 6 months. The second is facing 30 years and a second degree felony. No doubt, the first persons willingness to testify will be critical in throwing the book at the second. Is this really justice?

Yeah,

I'll never understand our "justice" system. Still, the law-abiding citizens are victimized and screwed anyway you look at it. Our taxes pay for their lawyers (usually) and then there meals and a cot, and therapy, and rehab. BS!!!

Meh....

"A bird in the hand...". One good, solid conviction. Looks good down the road, once everyone forgets the "details". (shakes head, again)
