$34K in bin revenue sought

Ten years ago, the city of Key West struck this deal with a Canadian outdoor advertising company: Sure, plant your garbage collection bins along the promenade of South Roosevelt Avenue aside Smathers Beach and sell advertising on the containers.

Just give Key West a cut for providing the sweet locations.

How did this continue for so long?

For 7 years no revenue and no city revenue employee caught it? What do they do all day? How much $$ are we missing from other 'promised revenue streams'?

What about the phones on the street also ?

John Jones made that deal also. The one on Kennedy has been smashed for a year , Where is the money from those phones which stick out into the sidewalk ? Or will the City wait 6 years to figure out they don't work. That's a long time to fiqure out you're not getting paid.
