Stanley Switlik Elemetary holds Science Expo

Marathon's Stanley Switlik Elementary School held its Fifth Annual Science Expo on Jan. 23. The schoolwide event is meant to foster appreciation for the Florida Keys environment. Members from various organizations shared their love of science and environment with students.

Participants included: Bahia Honda State Park, Captain Hooks Dive Center and Marina, the Dolphin Research Center, Dynasty Marine, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority, Florida Keys Electric Cooperative Association, Florida Keys Mosquito Control District, Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary, Monroe County Extension Service, National Weather Service Key West office, Pigeon Key Foundation, Seacamp, Sea Air Land Technologies, The Turtle Hospital, and Key West Coast Guard's Prevention Department.
