Man tries to deposit $22K in fake checks

TAVERNIER -- A 21-year-old Tavernier man was arrested Tuesday at his bank after trying to deposit three fraudulent checks totaling $22,000 into his account, according to a press release from Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Deputy Becky Herrin.
