City readies for construction boom
5 major projects totaling $100M to get under way

The city of Key West is about to embark on five major construction projects that add up to some $100 million, from the long-awaited Truman Waterfront Park and a new City Hall to the repair of a dilapidated Bahama Village treasure, the Frederick Douglass Gym.

More than the five construction workers I saw working on the Rosevelt project the other day. No wonder everything takes forever.

just what this island needs

more freakin construction and dust and detours and parking spaces taken by the city. We need to rename this island Key Consstruction. Damn!!!!!!!!!

Good Idea.

I am broke so I think I will put on an addition to my house, build a bigger swimming pool, and a new home gym so I can stay fit. On my way to the bank to get a loan for all this.....I'll let you know how it turns out.
