While sometimes it is used for good, such as thanking someone for returning a wallet or a humorous tidbit about the chickens, more often than not it is used for venal purposes of complaining or to attack someone for some act with which the writer disagrees.

For you to call posters on this site 'timid, fearful, and resentful' is a joke when in fact, you have been known to personally attack those who might be bold enough to disagree with you using their names. You are NOT respected in this town, and your businesses continue to ruin the quality of life for the people of Old Town. Of course, it's all about the money for you and you don't really care that people find your businesses to be outrageous and to contribute to the downgrading of Key West as a destination. No one resents your success. We certainly do find you to be a bully, a braggart, and a snob.
